Sailboat Removal in Pinellas Park, FL

Masts up to 50 feet tall require specialized technique. When possible, we use the sailboat's own mast-stepping system to lower the mast safely. If stepping isn't viable, we cut and secure the mast for transport. All handling follows marine industry standards and prevents property damage.

Fin keels are narrow blade-like appendages used on racing sailboats—they affect transport clearance and require lifting expertise. Full keels extend along the hull bottom—they add weight and change how we approach extraction. Understanding your keel type helps us plan proper removal and prevent hull damage.

Yes. We coordinate marine recovery and towing for sailboats in water, moored in slips, or partially submerged. This requires specialized expertise beyond land-based removal. We handle the complete coordination from water recovery through final disposal.

Complete removal includes mast removal, rigging takedown, hardware removal, sail and canvas handling, and transport to approved disposal facilities. We provide written release of liability documenting vessel ownership release. Personal belongings, fuel, batteries, and engines marked for salvage stay with you or the original owner.

It depends on the sailboat's size, condition, rigging complexity, and location. Land-based removal usually takes one to three days. Boats in water require marine recovery coordination, which may take longer. We give you a timeline during the initial assessment.

All sailboat components—hull, deck, mast, rigging, sails, hardware—go to approved disposal facilities meeting environmental regulations. Here in Pinellas Park, we follow Pinellas County waste management requirements and provide documented proof of appropriate disposal at licensed facilities.
